It does the job and brightness is fine but it s very light and can easily fall over. I googled the bulb type and ordered them from conair. Conair double sided oval mirror like the above and newer model conair mirror this one is attractive and in line with what you may picture when you think of cosmetic mirrors. It also heats up super fast i used it for 5 minutes today and it can burn you buyer beware.

I ordered the conair oval double sided lighted mirror oiled bronze finish because i really like the way it looked how it rotates tilts and the convenience of the on off switch sitting on the base of the mirror but i absolutely disliked how it gave off a dimmed yellow light.
